Falcon Cobalt 20" Mountain Bike

Most junior full suspension bikes are built on an old-fashioned ‘Y’ frame, which physically limits how far the seatpost can drop in. Falcon use an uninterrupted design instead — stronger frame, and room for a much longer seatpost, so the bike grows with the rider rather than being outgrown in a season.

Who it fits

20" wheels, suitable for children aged roughly 7 to 9 with an inside leg measurement of 53–60cm (21–25"). Measure from the floor to the crotch with shoes off — far more reliable than age. If they're younger or at the bottom of that range, the Falcon Samurai is the hardtail equivalent and starts from age 6.

What you're getting

• Suspension: front fork and rear shock with spring rates chosen specifically for a child's weight — the detail that decides whether junior suspension actually moves or just adds weight
• Gears: 6 speed with Shimano rear derailleur and Revoshift twist shifter, so they change gear without letting go of the bars
• Brakes: front and rear V-brakes with reach-adjustable levers, brought closer for smaller hands
• Room to grow: 200mm seatpost, saddle adjustable fore and aft, quill stem that raises and lowers
• Safety: double-sided chainwheel guard keeps fingers and clothing clear and stops the chain coming off
• Wheels: lightweight alloy rims with knobbly MTB tyres

No showroom. No shop floor. No stock sitting in a warehouse depreciating. Your bike is picked and dispatched from the manufacturer's own facility and comes straight to your door.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the price you pay. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to cover them.

What you don't lose: full manufacturer warranty, because we're an authorised dealer and not a grey importer. A real person to talk sizing through with before you order. And the option of a professional build so it arrives ready to ride.

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional. On a child's bike, brakes and gears set up correctly are worth paying for.
