Falcon Samurai 20" Mountain Bike

The first bike in Falcon's junior range with a suspension fork, and the one that gives a young rider their first taste of going off the pavement. Hard-wearing, simple to use, and built with a lot of adjustment so it lasts.

Who it fits

20" wheels, suitable for children aged roughly 6 to 9 with an inside leg measurement of 51–64cm (20–25"). Measure from the floor to the crotch with shoes off. That's a wide range for one bike — the 250mm seatpost is why, and it's the reason this one tends to last longer than its price suggests.

What you're getting

• Fork: front suspension with a soft spring rate matched to a child's weight
• Frame: hi-tensile steel — heavier than alloy, but it shrugs off the knocks a junior bike takes
• Gears: 6 speed with Shimano rear derailleur and Revoshift twist shifter, so they change gear without letting go of the bars
• Brakes: front and rear V-brakes with reach-adjustable levers, brought closer for smaller hands
• Room to grow: 250mm seatpost, saddle adjustable fore and aft, adjustable quill stem
• Safety: double-sided chainwheel guard keeps fingers and clothing clear of the chain

No showroom. No shop floor. No stock sitting in a warehouse depreciating. Your bike is picked and dispatched from the manufacturer's own facility and comes straight to your door.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the price you pay. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to cover them.

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional. On a child's bike, brakes set up correctly are worth paying for.
