Elswick Hope 16" Kids Heritage Bike

The step up from a first bike — for a rider who's past stabilisers and wants something that looks the part. Low step-through frame, front basket, satin lacquer finish and grown-up colours rather than the usual cartoon graphics.

Who it fits

16" wheels, suitable for children aged roughly 4 to 6. No stabilisers fitted, though any universal aftermarket set will attach if there's still the occasional wobble. Send us your child's height and inside leg and we'll confirm before you order.

What you're getting

• Frame: low step-through, easy to mount and dismount unaided
• Front basket: for a favourite toy or whatever needs carrying to the park
• Protection: full-length front and rear mudguards, plus a fully enclosed chainguard
• Bearings: ball bearings throughout for light, long-lasting pedalling and steering

Sizes either side: the Elswick Freedom on 14" wheels comes with stabilisers; the Harmony on 18" is the next size up.

We're an authorised Elswick dealer — but we don't run a shop.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the ticket price. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to pay for them.

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional.
