Elswick Freedom 14" Kids Heritage Bike

A first bike that doesn't look like a first bike. While most children's bikes shout in primary colours and cartoon graphics, the Freedom is finished in satin lacquer with a low step-through frame and a front basket — proper heritage styling, scaled down.

Who it fits

14" wheels, suitable for children aged roughly 3 to 5. Stabilisers are included, so it works from the very first ride and comes off them when they're ready. Send us your child's height and inside leg if you're unsure and we'll confirm before you order.

What you're getting

• Frame: low step-through, so they can get on and off unaided — which matters more than anything else at this age
• Stabilisers: sturdy, fitted as standard, removable when confidence arrives
• Front basket: for the teddy that has to come to the park
• Protection: front and rear mudguards, plus a fully enclosed chainguard to keep fingers and clothes away from the chain
• Bearings: ball bearings throughout, so pedalling and steering stay light for small legs and arms

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional. On a child's first bike, brakes and stabilisers set up correctly are worth paying for.
