A proper trail hardtail with a modern 1x10 drivetrain. The Alpina range was rebuilt from scratch for 2024 and the 2.0 is the sharper of the two — a wide-range 11–48T cassette that makes light work of gruelling climbs, and a narrow/wide chainset that keeps the chain seated over rough ground.

Who it fits

X Large 21" frame with 29" wheels — the biggest in the range, and as a general guide suited to riders around 6'1" and above. Taller riders are often poorly served at this price point, so this is worth knowing about. Send us your inside leg measurement and we'll confirm before you order.

What you're getting

• Gears: Shimano Cues 1x10 with an 11–48T cassette and narrow/wide 32T chainset — one shifter, no front mech to drop a chain
• Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic discs
• Geometry: built around a 100mm fork and 29" wheels, with longer top tubes and slacker head angles. Short 45mm stem and wide 750mm bars — the modern combination that makes a hardtail feel planted rather than nervous
• Tyres: 29x2.25" WTB Ranger — fast-rolling with good puncture resistance and grip across mixed trail conditions

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the ticket price. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to pay for them.

What you don't lose: full manufacturer warranty, because we're an authorised dealer and not a grey importer. A real person to talk sizing through with before you order. And the option of a professional build so it arrives ready to ride.

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional. Hydraulic brakes are worth having set up by someone who does it every day.
