Best Electric Bikes Under £1,100 (2026) | Dawes vs Falcon vs Claud Butler

An electric bike used to be a £2,000 commitment. Right now, in our Summer Sale, we've got four genuinely good e-bikes between £889 and £1,049 — every one of them £250 to £350 off. If you've been waiting for the right moment to go electric, this is probably it.
We stock all four, we've built all four in the workshop, and they each suit a different rider. Here's the honest run-down. (New to e-bikes entirely? Start with our guide: Electric Bikes Explained — Are They Worth It?)

Dawes Elegance — the head-turner
£889.99 £1,199.99
The cheapest of the four and honestly the prettiest. Mint green, proper step-through frame, wicker-look basket, memory-foam saddle — it's the e-bike for popping to the shops, riding the canal path, and feeling good doing it. The battery sits on the rear rack, which makes it dead easy to remove for charging in the kitchen.
Seven gears cover gentle hills comfortably, and the low frame means it fits riders from 5'0". If you want an e-bike that doesn't look like a machine, this is the one.
SAVE £257
Falcon Zone — the low-maintenance commuter
£942.99 £1,199.99
The Zone takes the most common e-bike maintenance headache — gears — and removes it entirely. Single-speed drivetrain, nothing to index, nothing to service, and five levels of motor assist doing the work the gears would have done. It's also the lightest of the four at 19.3kg.
Black, clean lines, integrated battery with Panasonic cells, mechanical disc brakes. If your riding is mostly flat-ish commutes and you want to charge it, ride it and forget about it, the Zone is the pick.
SAVE £285
Falcon Horizon — the all-rounder
£1,014.99 £1,299.99
The Horizon is what most people picture when they think "electric hybrid": 700c wheels, 7 gears, mudguard and rack mounts, and a fully integrated, removable Panasonic-cell battery hidden in the frame. It comes in a low-step or crossbar frame, so there's a fit for everyone.
If you'll do a bit of everything — commuting, towpaths, weekend loops — and want the tidiest-looking battery integration at this price, go Horizon.
SAVE £350 — BIGGEST SAVING
Claud Butler Ridge 1.0 — the trail option
£1,049.99 £1,399.99
The only proper electric mountain bike of the group, and the biggest saving. 27.5" wheels, 8 gears, suspension fork and that same removable Panasonic-cell battery. It's happy on bridleways, forest tracks and towpaths — and the motor flattens the climbs that put people off off-road riding in the first place.
Under £1,050 for a branded e-MTB is genuinely rare. If your riding involves mud, gravel or Shropshire hills, this is the one.
