Dawes Elegance Low Step Electric Hybrid Bike

An electric bike that doesn't look like one. The Elegance borrows its lines from the classic Dawes Cambridge and Duchess, hides the battery inside the pannier rack, and gives you 40 miles of assistance without announcing itself.

Who it fits

Low step frame, suitable for riders 5'0" to 5'10" (152–178cm). The step-through design means no swinging a leg over a crossbar — worth having if you ride in work clothes or have any hip or knee restriction. Adjustable stem lets you fine-tune the reach.

What you're getting

• Motor: Bafang rear hub, 32Nm torque, 5 power modes plus walk assist
• Battery: 375Wh housed in the rear rack, up to 40 miles / 64km, full charge in 5 hours, removable and key-locked
• Gears and brakes: Shimano Tourney 7-speed with Revoshift twist shifter, low-maintenance V-brakes
• Frame: lightweight aluminium built to look like traditional steel, swept-back bars for an upright position
• Comfort: Selle Royal Freeway saddle, ergonomic grips, puncture-protected tyres
• Fitted as standard: pannier rack, full-length mudguards, chainguard, kickstand

Why we can price like this

We're an authorised Dawes dealer — but we don't run a shop.

No showroom. No shop floor. No stock sitting in a warehouse depreciating. Your bike is picked and dispatched from the manufacturer's own facility and comes straight to your door.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the ticket price. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to pay for them.

What you don't lose: full manufacturer warranty, because we're an authorised dealer and not a grey importer. A real person to talk sizing through with before you order.
