Dawes Venture 2.0 Cross Bar EQ Hybrid Bike, Large (19")

The EQ in the name means equipped — mudguards and a rear pannier rack fitted from the factory, not sold to you afterwards. Add a 3x7 gear range and this is a bike you can commute on, do the shopping with and ride at the weekend without buying anything else.

Who it fits

Large 19" crossbar frame. As a general guide that suits most riders around 5'9" to 6'1", with 17" Medium below and 21" X Large above. Prefer a step-through? The Venture 2.0 EQ Low Step is the same bike in an easier-access frame.

What you're getting

• Gears: Shimano Tourney 3x7 — a wide spread for climbing and cruising alike
• Brakes: alloy V-brakes — reliable, easy to adjust and cheap to maintain
• Frame: lightweight aluminium with relaxed geometry for a comfortable, upright ride
• Fitted as standard: full mudguards and a rear pannier rack
• Comfort: swept-back handlebars, ergonomic grips and a padded saddle

Worth knowing: the Venture 1.0 is the simpler, cheaper option — one chainring, six gears, and bosses for mudguards and a rack rather than having them fitted.

Why we can price like this

We're an authorised Dawes dealer — but we don't run a shop.

No showroom. No shop floor. No stock sitting in a warehouse depreciating. Your bike is picked and dispatched from the manufacturer's own facility and comes straight to your door.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the ticket price. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to pay for them.

What you don't lose: full manufacturer warranty, because we're an authorised dealer and not a grey importer. A real person to talk sizing through with before you order.
