Dawes Discovery 3.0 Cross Bar Hybrid Bike, Large (19")

The Discovery 3.0 tops the range and is the one to have if you'll ride it in all weathers. Shimano's latest Cues 2x9 gearing and MT200 hydraulic disc brakes are a genuine step up from the cable discs found further down the range — you notice it most on a wet descent with a loaded pannier.

Who it fits

Large 19" crossbar frame. As a general guide that suits most riders around 5'9" to 6'1", with 17" Medium below and 21" X Large above. Send us your height and inside leg and we'll confirm which frame to order.

What you're getting

• Gears: Shimano Cues 2x9 with a 46/30T chainset and 11–36T cassette — a wide spread that copes with loaded commuting and steep pulls
• Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic discs with twin-piston callipers
• Frame: lightweight aluminium with a raised head tube for better road visibility, and dropped seat stays to take the edge off rough tarmac
• Tyres: 40mm wide, puncture protected, with reflective accents for low-light visibility
• Practicalities: front and rear mudguards fitted, mounts for a rear rack, ergonomic bars, lock-on grips and a padded saddle

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional. Hydraulic brakes are worth having set up by someone who does it every day.
