Claud Butler Edge HT Mountain Bike, 18/26" Black/Green

A straightforward, hard-wearing hardtail on 26" wheels with a suspension fork up front. The Edge HT is the sensible first proper mountain bike — alloy frame, 18 Shimano gears and enough fork travel to take the sting out of rough ground, without paying for kit a new rider won't use yet.

Who it fits

18" frame with 26" wheels — the most popular size, suiting most average-height adults. Frame sizes run 14", 16", 18" and 20". If you're between two, send us your height and inside leg and we'll tell you which to order.

What you're getting

• Frame: lightweight alloy, shared with the rest of the Edge range
• Gears: 18 speed Shimano with EZ-Fire Plus shifters — simple thumb-and-finger operation that's easy to learn on
• Fork: suspension up front to soften the bumps on trails and rough tracks
• Wheels: 26" — strong, easy to find spares for, and quick to accelerate

Also available as a low step frame if a step-through is easier for you.

Why we can price like this

We're an authorised Claud Butler dealer — but we don't run a shop.

No showroom. No shop floor. No stock sitting in a warehouse depreciating. Your bike is picked and dispatched from the manufacturer's own facility and comes straight to your door.

A traditional bike shop has to cover premises, staff and stockholding before it makes a penny, and that has to come out of the ticket price. We don't carry those costs, so we're not asking you to pay for them.

What you don't lose: full manufacturer warranty, because we're an authorised dealer and not a grey importer. A real person to talk sizing through with before you order.
