To raise awareness for his foundation SCOTT designed a very special Addict RC frame set for Esteban Chaves for the UCI World Championship in Yorkshire and his return to Il Lombardia after his remarkable victory in 2016. This Addict RC frame kit was also featured in SCOTT’s 2020 collection and was available as a limited edition. The frame features the colours of the FUN Esteban Chaves foundation. The SCOTT signature on the down tube has the same multicoloured pattern as used for his foundation. The blue and silver paint has a unique premium finish, which sparkles in the sun and gives the bike a one of a kind look.

OVERSIZED BOTTOM BRACKET

In order to best manage power transfer, SCOTT developed a down tube and bottom bracket intersection that is the widest of any road bike at the time. The wide cross section and smooth transitions better manage loads and yield a laterally robust structure which increases pedalling efficiency by effectively delivering power to the drivetrain rather than losing it to unwanted frame flex.

HOLLOW STRUCTURE

The complete frame set is built hollow and has a never seen clean inside to maximise the weight reduction.

SANDWICH DROPOUTS

The Addict RC dropouts are designed to be integrated on the thru-axle system thanks to a hollow tube design that allows a simple and lightweight structure.

SEAT CLAMP

The ultra-lightweight seat clamp weighs just 12 grams and allows for a very carbon friendly clamp mechanism, saving even more weight on the seat post (seat post weight: 142 grams).

COMBO CRESTON IC

Clean and uncluttered, the Syncros combo cockpit routes all the cables completely internally through the bar, headset and into the frame as part of SCOTT’s ICC routing. Developed with renowned partner GebioMized, it offers an ergonomic shape for riders.

EVO-LAP TECHNOLOGY

SCOTT’s choice of advanced carbon fibres is followed by intensive use of FEA (finite element analysis) software to map out the carbon lay-up, simulating different forces on a virtual model of the frame and adjusting the construction accordingly. The result is a super light and compact frame without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance.

INTEGRATED CABLE ROUTING

The Addict RC comes with completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting, achieved without any compromise on shifting and braking quality or on the stiffness of the head tube. It is also surprisingly easy for mechanics to change cables and maintain the bike.

Pre-owned bike

This is a pre-owned bike. It has been thoroughly inspected and serviced by experienced technicians, and is fully functional and ready to ride. As with any used bike, it may show minor signs of wear or small cosmetic marks. We aim to show these clearly in the photos and describe each bike accurately. It comes with a 3-month warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Wear-and-tear items such as tyres, brake pads and cables are not covered. Neither are cosmetic marks or damage caused by accidents, misuse or modifications.
