The Discovery 1.0 in a step-through frame — the widest gear range in the Discovery family combined with a dropped top tube you can get on and off in any clothing. A sensible, hard-wearing bike for commuting, errands and getting back into riding.

Who it fits

Small 16.5" low step frame. As a general guide that suits most riders around 5'0" to 5'5", with the 18.5" Medium above it. The low step frame is worth choosing if you ride in work clothes or a skirt, carry panniers, or have any hip, knee or back restriction.

What you're getting

• Gears: Shimano Tourney 3x7 with a 28/38/48T chainset and 11–32T cassette — 21 ratios, with a genuinely low gear for hills
• Brakes: 160mm mechanical disc, consistent in the wet and simple to adjust at home
• Frame: lightweight aluminium low step with a raised head tube for better road visibility, and dropped seat stays to absorb vibration
• Tyres: 40mm wide, puncture protected, with reflective accents for low-light visibility
• Practicalities: front and rear mudguards fitted, mounts for a rear rack, ergonomic bars, lock-on grips and a padded saddle

Delivery and build

Free UK mainland delivery. Bikes ship boxed and part-assembled as standard. Add our professional build and safety check at checkout and a qualified mechanic assembles, adjusts and safety-checks the bike before it leaves — a real workshop job, and entirely optional.
