Are Boss bikes any good?
Honest answer: for the money, yes — with the right expectations. These are steel-framed, entry-level mountain bikes built for parks, towpaths, tracks and general knocking about, not downhill racing. Where a lot of sub-£250 bikes fall apart is assembly — which is why every Boss we send out is built and safety-checked in our Shrewsbury workshop first, with gears indexed and brakes set properly. That alone fixes most of the complaints you'll read about budget bikes bought boxed.
