Alpina Hackney Junior Helmet Green Frog 51cm - 56cm
The ALPINA HACKNEY bike helmet has a face. It winks kindly with the front air inlet and so is cheeky enough to please the cool kids. But more importantly: The ALPINA HACKNEY protects youngsters on all their adventures. The stable inmold construction and Hi-EPS provide cushioning properties in the event of a collision. A guardian angel, formed by the upper helmet openings, also always rides along. It is to be taken playfully, but is also a symbol with a clear statement: ALPINA wants to protect you. Always. Everywhere. The ventilation inlets of the ALPINA HACKNEY not only form a face and a guardian angel, but are predominantly responsible for optimal ventilation. The height-adjustable Run-System also provides comfort. Thus, adjustment is very easy and maximum comfort guaranteed. Optionally, a plug-in light can be integrated into the rear of the bike helmet, so that the kids are perceived early on by other road users even in poor visibility and darkness. Visibility brings security.
- Rugged & impact resistant Inmold construction
- Easy to use, twist-proof harness buckle with multi-stage automatic locking system
- Individual helmet fit thanks to a tiltable adjustment system at the back of the head
- Comfortable adjustable straps on the ears
- Lighting can be retrofitted with optional Plug-In Light
Airflow Venting: One factor that greatly influences comfort when wearing is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the vents is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, guided around the head and can flow out again at the back. The head is therefore comfortably air-conditioned at all times.
Ceramic Shell: All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
Custom Fit: Custom Fit is an adjustment system at the back of the head that allows you to adjust the height of the Run System in several steps. This allows the optimal fit of the helmet to be adjusted for a wide variety of head shapes. Pressure marks are a thing of the past, the helmet sits perfectly on the head and safety is improved.
Ergomatic: Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
Hard Shell: Hardshell helmets consist of a Hi-EPS core and an impact-resistant outer shell made of ABS or polycarbonate. This combination ensures maximum safety.
Hi-EPS: The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.
Inmold: In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.
Y-Clip: A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
